The Turkey Kiss Character uses the Hokie Bird pattern by Vicky Sawyer.
The stitch pattern is my own.
Cut two pieces of plastic canvas 12 by 12 holes and one piece 10 by 10 holes.
The 10 by 10 piece requires no further cutting. Cut the others to look like this.
Here is what the face details look like.
Here is all three pieces stitched.
.Now the snood.
It looks like this finished. I put the two pieces of yarn through two different holes on the face, tie them in a knot on the back and weave in the ends of the yarn.
Here is how I make it. I take a long piece of yarn and curve it like an 'S' leaving one end much longer. Thread the needle onto that long end and on the opposite end of the s, squeeze the loop together and push the needle back and forth through the yarn till the snood os as long as you like. It takes practice. Here is an expanded picture.
After the snood is attached to the face, sew the three pieces together to make the Kiss Character.
